When most people look at a photograph they see a picture “of” something: A tree, a lake, a sunset, etc.

I photograph abstract shapes and then obscure them by using photographic and non-photographic techniques to manipulate the final image and eliminate the subject.

These photographs are an attempt to take the “of” out of my photography. It is my intention that these photographs stand on their own without the need for identifiable subjects.
